ADEK Inspection Results (Irtiqa - Decoded)
Teaching for effective learning regressed to Acceptable in Cycle 2 (Years 7-9), primarily due to classroom management challenges and limited student engagement, particularly among boys. Mathematics and Science attainment in this phase also remain at Acceptable. This is the school's most pressing improvement priority.
Arabic as a second language attainment is Acceptable in Cycles 1 and 2, reflecting the challenge of a highly diverse newcomer student population. PISA 2022 scores in reading, mathematics, and science are all below international benchmarks. GL and IBT standardised assessment results are weak in Phases 2 and 3 across English, mathematics, and science.
Inspection History
Fees & Value for Money
International Community Schools – Al Danah offers a British curriculum education in Abu Dhabi, with tuition fees for the 2025–2026 academic year ranging from AED 28,101 for Foundation Stage (FS1–FS2) up to AED 57,945 for Years 12 and 13. These fees reflect the school's commitment to delivering high-quality education, state-of-the-art facilities, and exceptional learning experiences across all year groups. A non-refundable registration fee of AED 1,000 applies upon registration, which is subsequently adjusted against Term 1 fees.
The school provides meaningful fee relief through a 5% general discount for new students in FS1 to Year 6, and a 10% general discount for new students in Years 7 to 13. An additional 5% sibling discount is available on top of the general discount, making the school more accessible for families with multiple children enrolled. Existing students joining on or before AY2020–2021 benefit from a separate, lower fee tier for Years 5 through 13.
Additional costs include an annual transportation fee of AED 5,000 and a uniform fee of AED 400 per year. The school offers flexible payment options including full upfront payment, two equal installments, or a three-installment plan split 40/30/30 across the academic year. Payments can be made via bank transfer, card, cheque, or the Zenda application, ensuring a convenient and secure transaction experience for all families.

The Final Verdict: Who Is This School For?
THE “RIGHT FIT”
Families seeking an affordable, full British curriculum pathway (FS1-Year 13) in central Abu Dhabi, particularly those with multiple children (sibling discounts apply), students who thrive in a diverse international community of 90+ nationalities, and parents who value strong safeguarding and pastoral care over premium exam results.
THE “WRONG FIT”
Families whose primary criterion is top-decile IGCSE or A-Level results, or who require extensive green outdoor sports facilities; also not recommended as a first choice for families with children currently in Years 7-9 without first visiting the school and asking specific questions about Cycle 2 teaching quality improvements.
ICS Al Danah gave my children a real sense of belonging in a city where expat life can feel transient. The school fees are manageable, the teachers are approachable, and watching my daughter walk in the Year 13 leavers' ceremony made everything worthwhile.
