SPEA Inspection Results (Decoded)
Attainment and progress in mathematics remain at Acceptable in Phase 2 (Grades 1-5). Students struggle with measurement notation, mental maths strategies, and MAP test performance is weak. This is the school's most pressing academic improvement priority.
Inspectors identified the need to further develop and empower middle leaders at whole-school level. The current improvement trajectory is overly dependent on senior leadership, which creates a sustainability risk if key personnel change.

The Final Verdict: Who Is This School For?
THE “RIGHT FIT”
Sama American Private School is ideal for families in the Al Azra and northern Sharjah area seeking an affordable, Cognia-accredited American-curriculum education with strong pastoral care, an inclusive environment, and a school leadership team with a proven improvement track record.
THE “WRONG FIT”
Families seeking elite academic outcomes, a richly documented ECA program, or consistently Very Good teaching across all year groups and subjects will find Sama's current Good rating a ceiling rather than a floor - and should consider higher-rated institutions in Sharjah or Dubai.
We chose Sama because of the fees and the location, and we stayed because of the community. The school has heart. It is not the most glamorous, but the staff care, and that counts for a lot.
