KHDA Inspection Results (Decoded)
Arabic as an Additional Language attainment is rated Weak in MYP, and Arabic as a First Language attainment is only Acceptable in MYP and DP. Inspectors recommend ensuring teaching strategies and activities are appropriate for students' years of studying Arabic, and accelerating MYP language proficiency.
Inspectors identify that the use of assessment data to support individual needs - particularly for EAL students and newcomers - is inconsistent. Teacher written feedback is sometimes unclear. These gaps must be addressed to ensure all learners, not just the most able, benefit from the school's strong curriculum.

Fees & Value for Money
GEMS World Academy Dubai offers an International Baccalaureate (IB) education from Nursery through Grade 12, with tuition fees for the 2025-26 academic year ranging from AED 42,271 for Nursery up to AED 123,442 for Grades 11 and 12. The school holds a Very Good DSIB rating (2023-24) and is recognised for outstanding personal development, curriculum quality, and student wellbeing, positioning it as a premium IB institution in Dubai's Al Barsha district. Note that Nursery fees for 2024-25 are listed at AED 42,271, reflecting the prior academic year's approved rate.
Tuition fees are payable in three instalments: 40% in Term 1, 30% in Term 2, and 30% in Term 3, with full first-term fees due before the student starts. An application fee of AED 525 (VAT inclusive) is required at the time of online registration, and a non-refundable registration deposit of 10% of annual tuition is charged upon acceptance of an offer, which is then deducted from the total fees. Fees are exclusive of uniforms, food services, transport, and any English language or special needs support.
Parents can benefit from the FAB GEMS World Credit Card, which offers up to 3% savings when paying annual tuition fees in advance, plus 10% back on school expenses. All fees are set in accordance with the KHDA School Fee Framework, ensuring regulatory oversight and transparency in fee-setting.

The Final Verdict: Who Is This School For?
THE “RIGHT FIT”
Globally mobile families who want a genuine IB continuum education, value inquiry-based learning over exam drilling, and are prepared to invest at the ultra-premium fee level for a diverse, internationally minded community with strong pastoral care and exceptional enrichment.
THE “WRONG FIT”
Families who prioritise Arabic language development, want an Outstanding KHDA rating, prefer a traditional examination-focused academic culture, or are sensitive to leadership transitions and the uncertainty they can bring to school culture.
The children have grown up here, so it really is their second home. It is a place where they can enjoy themselves, have fun, make friends, and learn at the same time.
