Ambassador School is led by Principal Dr. Sheela Menon, who has been in post since 09 September 2015 — a tenure of nearly a decade that signals genuine continuity at the helm. Dr. Menon also serves as Council Secretary for CISCE, reflecting her standing within the wider Indian curriculum community. Day-to-day leadership is supported by Associate Vice Principal Rosy Bali, alongside a structured senior team that includes heads of primary, middle and senior sections, a head of kindergarten, and a dedicated head of inclusion.

The school is operated by the Ambassador Group of Schools, with governance vested in the Ambassador School Governing Council. Chaired by Founder and Chairman Hukumat Kalwani and Vice-Chaired by Kamal Kalwani, the council meets monthly and draws in parent governors across every grade band, student representatives, and teacher representatives — a structure the 2023–2024 KHDA inspection described as representative of all stakeholders. Governance was rated Very Good in the most recent inspection, though inspectors noted occasional gaps in management accountability within action plans and issued a key recommendation to refine lines of accountability and identify a named person responsible for achieving improvement goals — an area parents should monitor.

On teaching quality, the effectiveness of leadership was rated Very Good and teaching for effective learning was rated Very Good across all phases, with assessment rated Outstanding in Secondary. Inspectors found high-quality teaching to be especially consistent in Secondary, where skilful questioning, effective differentiation and a data-driven approach to assessment were evident. Some variability was noted in Arabic and in certain KG and lower Primary classes — a candid finding that reflects the inspection's balanced view of provision.

The staffing picture is a clear strength. Ambassador School reports a student-teacher ratio of 1:9, significantly more favourable than the Dubai private school average of 1:13.6 across all curricula. The school also employs 38 teaching assistants alongside its 113 qualified teachers, providing additional classroom support that is particularly relevant given the 162 students of determination enrolled. Staff turnover stands at just 9% — a low figure that points to a settled, experienced workforce. [MISSING: percentage of staff holding postgraduate qualifications]

Parent engagement is formalised through the Parents of Ambassador Learning System (PALS) and through parent governors embedded in the Governing Council. The KHDA inspection rated Parents and the Community as Outstanding — the highest rating awarded in the entire inspection framework — noting strong parental support and effective links with local and wider communities. Inspectors did, however, recommend extending parental involvement specifically in the development of wellbeing provision, suggesting this relationship, while strong, has further room to deepen. The school holds the distinction of being the first and only school in the UAE to win the Golden Peacock Award for Innovative Service, a notable external recognition of its institutional approach.
