THE EARLY YEARS FRAMEWORK

The Early Years Foundation curriculum is developmental and designed to support young children in developing language, play and social skills through a combination of structured language, communication activities, sound activities and adult-supported play. At The Developing Child Centre, we have a long-term map that is based on modules focused on the needs of your child through the individualized education plan. The team working with your child will continually differentiate the learning possibilities at an individual level through use of language, questions and levels of support. Careful record keeping and input from therapists allows you to see how your child is progressing.

Every child starts to learn from birth, and they learn and develop in a wide variety of ways. At The Developing Child Centre, every educator and practitioner looks carefully at every child, considers their needs, their interests, their challenges and their stages of development to help plan successful experiences across all areas of learning and development.

Every child will have an Individualized Education Plan that incorporates targets from the professionals working with your child to ensure a multi-disciplinary approach. The education team will meet with you at least twice a term to review the Individualized Education Plan and set new targets for learning. At the end of every term parents will receive a detailed Report Card outlining achievements and the next steps for success.
