Positive Relationship: describes how children learn to be strong and independent from a base of loving and secure relationships with parents and/ or key person. The commitments are focused around respect; partnerships with parents; supporting learning and the role of the key person.
Enabling Environment: explains that the environment plays a key role in supporting and extending children’s development and learning. The commitments are focused around observation, assessment and planning; support for every child; the learning environment; and the wider context – transitions, continuity and multi-agency working.
Learning & Development: recognises that children develop and learn in different ways and at different rates and that all areas of learning are equally important and inter-connected.

Jolly Phonics
Angel Heart Nursery integrates Jolly Phonics to teach children to read and write through an early systematic phonics program. Children are taught the main 42 sounds of English, and not just the alphabet sounds. With this knowledge they are taken through stages of blending sounds to form words and then to reading. At the same time they are taught to write by identifying the sounds in the words and relating the letters to those sounds. The teaching has been divided into the following 5 basic skills.
Learning the letter sounds
Learning letter formation
Blending for reading
Identifying the sounds in words for writing
Tricky words – irregular words.
Arabic & Islamic Curriculum
Angel Heart Nursery has tailored Arabic and Islamic Education curriculum based on the EYFS framework. This ensures the same EYFS standards are maintained for the Arab community, allowing them to adhere to their own traditional & cultural values without compromising on the quality of services.
