Dubai International Academy Town Square is a brand new, purpose-built campus opening August 2026, located within the Town Square community in Dubai. Spanning an impressive 330,000 square feet, it is one of the largest purpose-designed IB school campuses in the city — built from the ground up to serve students from PreK through to Grade 12 as the school expands year on year. The scale and intentionality of the build is immediately apparent: this is not a retrofitted villa or a repurposed commercial space, but a facility conceived entirely around modern, inquiry-led learning.
Academically, the campus offers a strong suite of specialist spaces. These include science labs, computer labs, and design technology labs, alongside a networked library, dedicated art room, drama studio, dance studio, and language learning rooms. For early years students, a music and movement room with sprung floors reflects genuine attention to age-appropriate design — a detail that distinguishes thoughtful campus planning from box-ticking. The inclusion of a design and technology room and specialist music room further supports the IB's emphasis on creative and interdisciplinary learning.
The sports and recreation offering is substantial. DIA Town Square features three swimming pools, four climate-controlled multipurpose halls, an outdoor playing field with shaded play areas, shaded outdoor basketball courts, padel courts, and tennis courts. For a school operating in Dubai's climate, the emphasis on shading and climate control is not a luxury — it is a practical necessity, and the campus appears to have addressed this seriously. This breadth of sporting infrastructure comfortably exceeds what many established IB schools in Dubai currently offer.
On inspection, there is an important caveat: DIA Town Square has not yet been inspected by KHDA, as the school does not open until August 2026. It carries a New School classification, which is the standard status for any school yet to complete its first substantive inspection cycle. Among the 40 IB curriculum schools in Dubai, 10 hold Outstanding ratings and 15 are rated Very Good — a strong sector benchmark that DIA Town Square will eventually be measured against. Parents should note that the sister campuses under Innoventures Education carry established reputations, but this campus must build its own inspection record independently.
At fees ranging from AED 68,000 to AED 120,000, DIA Town Square sits well above the IB curriculum median of AED 65,097 at its upper end. At this fee level, parents are right to expect — and the campus appears to deliver — a physical environment that meaningfully exceeds the Dubai norm. The combination of three pools, four climate-controlled halls, a full suite of arts and specialist studios, and a purpose-built 330,000 sq ft footprint represents a compelling physical proposition. The key unknown remains operational delivery: facilities on paper must translate into well-resourced, well-staffed learning environments once students arrive. That will be the test.
