Abu Dhabi Indian School - Muroor delivers the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) curriculum from KG1 through Grade 12, holding CBSE Affiliation No. 6630004 and operating under Ministry of Education Abu Dhabi License No. 37. It is one of only two schools in Abu Dhabi carrying a dedicated CBSE affiliation in the city index, making it a rare and highly specific choice for families seeking alignment with the Indian university entrance system. At the Senior Secondary level, students choose between a Science stream — offering Biology, Computer Science, or Psychology as the fifth subject alongside English, Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry — and a Commerce stream, with options spanning Accountancy, Business Studies, Economics, Informatics Practices, Sociology, and Psychology. Both pathways culminate in the All India Senior School Certificate Examination (AISSCE) at Grade 12.

Academic performance in the school's core examined subjects is the headline strength of ADIS's curriculum offer. CBSE results in English, Mathematics, and all Sciences at Grades 10 and 12 have been rated outstanding for three consecutive years, and MOE assessments in Arabic as a Second Language and Islamic Education at Grade 12 have also been rated outstanding for the past three years. Inspectors noted that teaching quality improved from good to very good across all phases in the 2024–2025 ADEK inspection, with English progress rated outstanding in Phases 3 and 4. On international benchmarks, PISA 2022 scores of 509.9 in reading literacy, 483.4 in mathematical literacy, and 502 in science literacy all exceeded international standards, though they fell below the school's own targets — an honest indicator of the ambition leadership has set for itself.

The school's enrichment and specialist programs add meaningful breadth to the academic core. The CBSE Budding Authors Program engages Grades 5–10 in creative writing in English and Arabic; the Super Reader Program (Grade 1) and Star Reader Program (Grade 2) build early literacy systematically; and the Reading Buddies Program pairs senior students with younger peers to foster a school-wide reading culture. Robotics is embedded in computer lab provision, and students participate in external competitions including CBSE Reading Challenges and the Chevron Readers Cup. Inspectors identified several areas requiring attention. Assessment was rated Acceptable across all phases — a regression from the previous cycle — with inconsistent marking, absent next-step feedback, and insufficient use of assessment data to personalise learning. Differentiation for high-attaining students, EAL learners, and students with additional needs was flagged as insufficient, and the number of formally identified students of determination (25 enrolled) is considered low for a school of nearly 5,000 pupils. Arabic language attainment, as measured by the IBT Arabic assessment for Grades 3–10, has been rated weak for three consecutive years — a persistent gap that sits in sharp contrast to the outstanding CBSE results. Student attendance of 93% and a shortage of pastoral care staff following the departure of vice principals were also noted as concerns. Compared to peer Indian-curriculum schools in Abu Dhabi, where 10 of 34 schools hold a Very Good or Outstanding rating, ADIS's Good rating is solid but leaves room to close the gap on the sector's higher performers.
