Dubai's private education sector

KHDA is the educational quality assurance and regulatory authority of the Government of Dubai. It oversees the private education sector in Dubai, which comprises more than 90% of the student population. KHDA’s mission is to ensure every learner can access high-quality education that meets their needs and aspirations. KHDA also supports the development and innovation of the education sector by conducting inspections, issuing licenses, providing data and research, facilitating partnerships, and launching various initiatives and programs.

Miran’s appointment comes when KHDA implements several initiatives and programs to support the education community in Dubai, such as the Dubai Schools Inspection Bureau, the Dubai Inclusion Framework, the Dubai Student Wellbeing Census, the What Works series, and the Living Arabic project.

As the new Director General of KHDA, Miran will oversee the quality and development of the private education sector in Dubai and ensure that it aligns with the strategic goals and aspirations of the emirate. She will also be the face and voice of KHDA, engaging with various stakeholders and partners, such as students, parents, educators, investors, regulators, and policymakers.

We congratulate Miran on her appointment and look forward to her leading KHDA to new levels of excellence, innovation, and happiness.
