Ramadan is the month of giving, therefore the Dar Al Ber Society (Dabs) has organized a unique charity campaign called “ ChariTREE - Plant For A Cause”, which emphasizes the importance of trees and charity among the young generation. Under the campaign, Dabs are visiting various schools to raise funds from them. Presentations and hands on activities were organized to make students learn about the importance of environmental care. Students were also given the chance to donate by buying a 10 dhm worth sample plant. The money raised from this is going to be used for conducting Dab’s charity activities during the year of Zayed.
Abdullah Ali Bin Zayed Al Falasi, CEO of Dar All Ber Society, said: "If we want to make the world a better place to live for us and our future generation, people, especially our future generation, should understand and appreciate the role of charity and trees in our lives."
Impressed by the campaign, Sagar Vijaykumar, head boy at the Ambassador School, said: "ChariTREE is such a great initiative where we not only learnt about the need of charitable activities in our society, but, it also reminded us about the importance of the trees in our life. We thank Dar Al Ber Society for coming to our school and organizing the activity."
