Children at British Orchard Nurseries across the UAE have celebrated the spirit of Ramadan by packaging gifts for the less privileged children around the world. Children packed school supplies, along with their own toys. The project was inspired by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammad’s For You- Lakum initiative, which aims to put smiles on children faces all over the world.
Dr. Vandana Gandhi, chief executive and founder of the British Orchard University franchise said “ It’s never too early to inculcate empathy in children for those are less fortunate than them. We hope and believe that such activities encourage our little ones to reach out and help others in need and go on to create a brighter, happier tomorrow.”
Nursery employees were also greatly giving for the initiative and have previously participated in social causes such as the Walk for Education and Walk for Diabetes.
