SPEA Inspection Results (Decoded)
The school has not yet been reviewed by SPEA, meaning there is no independent regulatory assessment of teaching quality, student progress, or inclusion provision. This is the single largest transparency gap for prospective parents and should be addressed as a priority.
No IGCSE pass rates, A-Level results, or American Diploma completion data are publicly available. Without this, parents cannot independently benchmark the school's academic results against peers in Sharjah education.

Fees & Value for Money
Sharjah British International School (American curriculum) offers a comprehensive fee structure for the academic year 2025–2026, with tuition fees ranging from AED 14,000 for FS1 to AED 33,832 for Year 13/Grade 12. Fees are quoted in UAE Dirhams and are subject to annual revision. Book fees are charged separately and must be paid in full as a single instalment upon registration, ranging from AED 500 (FS1) to AED 2,782 (Year 12–13/Grade 11–12).
Tuition is split across three terms, with Term 1 payable in cash upon registration and Terms 2 and 3 payable by post-dated cheques deposited at the time of registration or re-registration. A non-refundable registration fee of AED 500 applies to all new students. Additional costs include Cambridge examination fees for IGCSE and GCE A-Level students, as well as Checkpoint assessment fees for eligible year groups.
The school's dual British and American curriculum offering, combined with its structured payment plan and transparent fee schedule, positions it as a competitively priced international school in the Sharjah market. Families benefit from clear term-by-term payment scheduling, making financial planning straightforward across all year groups from Foundation Stage through to Post-16.

The Final Verdict: Who Is This School For?
THE “RIGHT FIT”
Families seeking a dual British and American curriculum with Cambridge and AIAAsc accreditation at mid-range fees, particularly those who value curriculum flexibility for future university pathways in the UK, US, or globally.
THE “WRONG FIT”
Families who prioritise a published SPEA inspection rating, independently verified exam results, or detailed documentation of SEN, EAL, and inclusion provision before making a school selection.
We chose SBIS because it gave us options. Our children can sit Cambridge exams or take the American diploma - we did not have to commit to one system before knowing where we would end up living.
