RAK Academy PYP School

The school was the first international school in the region, and was founded at the end of 1975 by a small group of British businessmen who wanted their children taught an English curriculum. His Highness Sheikh Saqr Bin Mohammed Al Qassimi, Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, supported this idea and donated the land on which the small school building stood. In 1989, His Highness Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qassimi began to support the school and by 1994 the first secondary students were enrolled. In 2000 Sheikh Saud donated the magnificent and extensive new school which is located opposite the Eid Prayer Ground and Sheikh Zayed mosque. The on-going support and patronage of His Highness ensures that Ras Al Khaimah Academy (RAKA) continues to develop and grow. Finally, in 2014 we opened the new PYP section.
