Step By Step Nursery follows the British Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, delivered with a Reggio Emilia-inspired approach that encourages children to be curious, creative and independent learners. The Nursery group, for children aged two to three years, focuses on small world play, maths activities and early groupwork, and the Foundation group for three to four year olds builds on open-ended play, phonics, reading, mark-making and critical thinking through group activities. Across all age groups, the nursery maintains above-average staff-to-child ratios, ranging from 1:3 for babies up to 1:8 for the Foundation stage, exceeding KHDA and Ministry of Education requirements. Toilet independence is supported gently and at each child's own pace under the guidance of qualified, compassionate staff. The nursery's nurses are DHA licensed, with specialist qualifications and experience in family medicine, paediatrics and midwifery, helping to keep children safe and healthy throughout the day.
