Orange Seeds Nursery combines Montessori and British curriculum principles to offer a balanced, culturally rich learning experience. Children move through structured yet flexible learning environments where independence is encouraged alongside guided exploration, and materials are made accessible so that each child can choose activities suited to their interests and stage of development. As children progress into the Foundation Stage, the nursery follows the EYFS framework with a Montessori-inspired approach, giving access to the seven EYFS learning areas through individual and group work during a daily work cycle. Early literacy is supported through the Jolly Phonics system and sensory sandpaper alphabet symbols, while numeracy is introduced through hands-on, sensory and artistic activities that link numeric symbols to quantities. By the Foundation Stage 2 year, children build on these foundations with more focused literacy and numeracy work, including letter tracing, name writing, counting, comparing and basic addition and subtraction. Alongside academic skills, the curriculum places strong emphasis on social interaction, emotional development, sharing, turn-taking and decision-making, helping children build the confidence needed for primary school.
