Little Lambs Nursery follows the British Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, the first framework in England to bridge preschool and formal schooling. Planning is guided by four core EYFS principles: recognising every child as unique, building positive relationships, creating enabling environments, and understanding that children learn and develop at different rates. The seven EYFS areas of learning are all covered, including Personal, Social and Emotional Development, Communication and Language, Physical Development, Literacy, Mathematics, Understanding the World, and Expressive Arts and Design. Literacy is supported through jolly phonics and the Oxford Reading Tree levelled reading scheme, while mathematics is woven into everyday play through counting, puzzles, construction and role play. In addition to the standard EYFS areas, the nursery incorporates Social Studies to build civic awareness and an Information Technology/STEM lab available from the toddler stage, giving children early exposure to tablets, programmable toys, engineering kits and simple science experiments. Older children can also access the Smart Juniorz Programme, a one-to-one teaching option available after 3.30pm or during holiday camps, focused on pre-reading, pre-writing and early mathematics skills. Further enrichment is offered through the Academic Enrichment Programme, which includes ballet, football, zumba, gymnastics, karate, arts and craft and sensory play, plus dedicated Communication & Language and Social Studies Education programmes and an IT/STEM programme for children above two years.
