Little Lambs Nursery follows the British Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, the first framework in England to bridge preschool and formal schooling. Planning is guided by four core EYFS principles: recognising every child as unique, building positive relationships, creating enabling environments, and understanding that children learn and develop at different rates. The seven EYFS areas of learning are all covered, including Personal, Social and Emotional Development, Communication and Language, Physical Development, Literacy, Mathematics, Understanding the World, and Expressive Arts and Design. Literacy is supported through jolly phonics and the Oxford Reading Tree levelled reading scheme, while mathematics is woven into everyday play through counting, puzzles, construction and role play.
