Curriculum & Approach
Kids Spot Nursery follows the British Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, which is designed to support the significant developmental leaps children make between four months old and the start of Foundation Stage One. The curriculum is built around seven key areas of learning, with particular emphasis on the three prime areas: communication and language, physical development, and personal, social and emotional development. Alongside these prime areas, the EYFS framework's four specific areas, literacy, mathematics, understanding the world, and expressive arts and design, are woven into everyday activities. Learning is delivered through child-led play and exploration rather than formal instruction, helping children build confidence, curiosity and early academic skills at their own pace. The nursery's own ethos runs alongside the EYFS framework, encouraging children to express themselves through play in a safe, nurturing environment, including messy and sensory play. Purpose-built guided risk play areas are also used to help children test their abilities, build resilience and learn to manage and understand safety for themselves.
Ages & Programs
Age range: 4 months to 4 years
Kids Spot Nursery in Al Barari cares for children from 4 months to 4 years old, guiding them through the early stages of the EYFS framework as they grow from infancy towards Foundation Stage readiness. Families can choose flexible attendance patterns, from two or three days a week up to a maximum of five days, to suit their child's needs and routine. The nursery operates across the full working day from 8am to 6pm, with parents able to select shorter core hours such as 8am to 2pm or a longer day until 4pm. For children in the Foundation Stage age bracket, the nursery recommends the shorter 8am to 2pm session to help prepare them for the transition to primary school in line with the EYFS framework.

Care & Wellbeing
Kids Spot Nursery places a strong emphasis on each child feeling included, secure and valued from their very first day. The settling-in process is tailored to each child individually, recognising that every family and every child's needs are different, and is discussed in detail with parents ahead of their child's start date. Before a child joins, a one-on-one meeting is arranged between parents and their child's teacher, giving the teacher the chance to get to know the child in a calm setting without other children present. Parents are also asked to provide an up-to-date immunisation record as part of registration, supporting the nursery's approach to child health and wellbeing. Ongoing communication with families is maintained through a parent communications app, which shares daily updates and reports on each child's day. The nursery's broader mission centres on working on a child's health, heart and mind within a safe, healthy and happy environment for both children and staff.
Daily Schedule
The nursery operates from 8am to 6pm, with families able to choose the hours that best suit their child. Core sessions typically run from 8am to 2pm or 8am to 4pm, with the shorter session recommended for children in the Foundation Stage age group to help build the stamina and routines needed for the transition to primary school under the EYFS framework.
Admissions
