Kids Spot Curriculum: The Day care in Dubai
At Kids Spot Nursery, we offer the EYFS curriculum that is not only broad-based but takes into account the individual needs of each child, allowing them to develop at their own pace.
At each stage, the experiences offered are appropriate to the child’s age and include both indoor and outdoor activities. Children are given opportunities to engage in individual play or to play as part of a group. This helps them to develop self-confidence and social interaction.
Children learn most effectively when they are enjoying themselves and having fun; this is why we promote ‘Learning through Play’ as children of different ages and stages of development work towards different goals. To ensure we meet the needs of all the children, we work alongside the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum. The EYFS curriculum is based on the following seven areas of learning:
- Communication and Language
- Physical Development
- Personal, Social & Emotional Development
- Literacy
- Maths
- Understanding the World
- Expressive Arts
Classes
Our classes are divided into four age groups;
Infants – (4 months – Approx. 12 months)
Babies develop faster in their first year than any other time throughout their lives. In the first year, the excitement of sound, sight and touch will be accompanied by a series of extra special firsts…including rolling, sitting and crawling.
Our fully qualified team provides expert care and encouragement every step along the way as your child grows. We aim to provide a gentle, loving environment in a homely atmosphere. Learning through play will help develop confidence and skills in this formative year and at Kids Spot Nursery, the team will provide a wealth of experience to respond to the children’s natural curiosity.
Toddlers – (Approx. 12 months – 2 years)
A baby’s curiosity has no limits as they become mobile and able to explore the wider world around them. Kids Spot Nursery provides a safe, interactive environment which aims to encourage toddlers to explore and build confidence in their abilities. Our team works to complement the relationship that exists between parent and child and we actively encourage parents to be involved in the day care we provide.
Pre Foundation Stage – (2 – 3 years)
Every child is an individual and at Kids Spot Nursery we allow our two year olds to develop at their own pace, exploring the special delights of discovering the world around them. In our caring and happy environment, children will be involved in all aspects of development and our carefully planned routines will encourage the growth of confident, secure individuals.
Foundation Stage 1 – (3 – 4 years)
Kids Spot Nursery offers a secure and fun environment for children to learn through play. Children at this stage are now eagerly seeking information about all exciting aspects of their rapidly expanding world. They learn from their experiences which teach them to try out new things, ask questions and experience many new learning opportunities. While the children are with us the emphasis is on play in a safe and loving environment, which in turn is constructive to learning. We are confident that our children will make the transition from nursery to school with ease.
Extra-curricular Activities
As early childhood educators, Kids Spot Nursery understands the importance of providing children with extra-curricular activities. We are pleased to be able to provide many activities on a regular basis, including Arabic, French, music, Masterchef, Karate, gardening, water play and gym classes.
To further enhance and support the curriculum, the older children are also taken on topic related excursions.
