Jumeirah International Nursery delivers the British Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, enriched with the International Preschool Curriculum (IPC) for children moving towards primary school. This combination gives children a structured yet play-based introduction to Literacy, Mathematics, Understanding the World, Expressive Arts & Design and Physical Development. The EYFS framework is further layered with principles drawn from the Reggio Emilia philosophy, the Curiosity Approach, Positive Education and the Montessori methodology. Reggio-inspired practice treats children as capable, curious learners who construct knowledge through exploration, documented through portfolios, photographs and art displays that parents can follow over time. The Curiosity Approach brings natural, open-ended resources such as shells, pinecones and playdough into daily play, encouraging children to question, investigate and make their own discoveries. Positive Education threads through the day via mindfulness moments, emotional check-ins and gratitude practices, while Montessori-inspired activities support independence, self-confidence and problem-solving from the earliest age groups. Progress is tracked through differentiated learning plans matched to each child's stage of development, with regular written assessments against EYFS Early Learning Goals and IPC principles, plus a full progress check and parent consultation at age two.

Children at Jumeirah International Nursery are grouped into age-based classes that progress from babyhood through to the early primary years. Little Learners (0 to 1.2 years) and Curious Beginners (1.3 to 2 years) focus on sensory exploration, early language and motor skill development, with a staff-to-child ratio of 1:3 maintained in the baby rooms. Inquisitive Adventurers (2.1 to 3 years) and Confident Explorers (3.1 to 4 years, FS1) build independence, social skills and a love of role-play, supported by free-flow access to outdoor play areas, music, cooking and creative crafts. Active Discoverers (4.1 to 5 years, FS2) follow personalised lessons across Literacy, Mathematics, Understanding the World, Expressive Arts & Design and Sport, while Creative Achievers (5.1 to 6 years, Year 1) follow the International Preschool Curriculum to prepare children for a smooth transition into primary school.
Jumeirah International Nursery in Discovery Gardens forms part of a wider network of ten JINS Early Childhood Centres across Dubai and Sharjah, each designed as a bright, nature-inspired setting where play is used to spark curiosity. Across the group, nurseries feature dedicated baby rooms with separate changing and sleeping areas, indoor classrooms organised by age group, and secure outdoor garden spaces for exploration. Outdoor play is a consistent feature of the JINS approach, with gardens and sensory playgrounds used for heuristic play, messy play and free-flow activity throughout the day. Classrooms are set up to reflect the nursery's Reggio Emilia and Curiosity Approach influences, using natural materials and open-ended resources to encourage sensory exploration and creative expression.

Care at Jumeirah International Nursery is built around close staff-to-child ratios, particularly in the baby rooms where a ratio of 1:3 is maintained to support settling in and individual attention for the youngest children. Regular observation and ongoing assessment allow practitioners to identify each child's needs early, with a formal progress check and parent consultation carried out at age two. As children approach the transition to primary school, JINS places emphasis on building the emotional security and independence needed for a confident move to 'Big School'. This includes visits to sister schools' Early Years settings during the Summer Term, so children can become familiar with new environments, routines and expectations before they graduate from the nursery.
The nursery day at Jumeirah International Nursery is structured around flexible sessions to suit different family routines. An Early Class runs from 7:00am to 8:00am, followed by a Morning Programme from 8:00am to 1:00pm and an Afternoon Programme from 1:00pm to 6:00pm. The academic year is divided into three terms: Autumn (September to December), Spring (January to March) and Summer (April to July), with both Term and All Year programme options available to families.
