Curriculum & Approach
Happy Bees follows the British Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, delivered with best practices drawn from the Montessori and Reggio Emilia approaches. This blend allows teaching staff to tailor learning to each child's individual pace and interests, recognising that no two children develop in exactly the same way. The EYFS framework is built around seven areas of learning and development: Personal, Social and Emotional Development; Communication and Language; Literacy; Mathematics; Knowledge and Understanding of the World; Physical Development; and Creative Development. At Happy Bees, these areas are woven into daily activities, from structured play with numbers and shapes to sensory exploration, storytelling and the Jolly Phonics programme for early reading skills. Physical development is supported through both gross motor activities, such as climbing, running and riding tricycles, and fine motor tasks using play dough, crayons, beads and puzzles. Creative expression is encouraged through art, music, movement and imaginative role play, helping children build confidence and communicate their ideas from an early age.
