Creative Kids Academy Nursery bases its day-to-day practice on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, a play-based approach to learning and development covering seven areas of learning across three prime areas, communication and language, physical development, and personal, social and emotional development, and four specific areas, literacy, mathematics, understanding of the world, and expressive arts and design. Creative Kids Academy Nursery groups children by age and stage of development, from N0 for the very youngest babies through to N4, alongside a Special Needs (SN) group for children requiring additional support. Staff-to-child ratios are kept low throughout, with approximately one adult to three children for 0-1 year olds, one to five for 1-2 year olds, one to six for 2-3 year olds and one to eight for 3-4 year olds, allowing for close, individual attention at every stage. Each child is assigned a Key Worker who monitors their progress, tailors their care, and helps them settle into nursery life, working under the supervision of a Class Teacher. The nursery operates Monday to Thursday from 7:00am to 3:00pm and on Fridays from 7:00am to 1:00pm.
