Building Blocks Nursery bases its curriculum on the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) Framework, chosen to support the way young children learn best through play, exploration and relationships with trusted adults. Alongside the core EYFS areas of learning, the nursery layers in its own enrichment programmes covering Arabic, French, cooking, dance, music and physical activity, giving children a broad and varied experience across the week. The approach is built around helping children know themselves and what they can do, with practitioners working closely with parents to support each child's emotional wellbeing. Being acknowledged and affirmed by important adults in their lives helps children build the confidence and disposition to learn, so that, above all, they feel happy to come to nursery. As children move through the crèche, toddler, nursery, preschool and kindergarten stages, the curriculum is designed to build progressively on earlier learning, developing language, motor skills, social confidence and early academic foundations in preparation for the transition to 'big school'.
الفئة العمرية: 4 months to 6 years
Building Blocks Nursery organises children into stages that reflect their developmental needs, from tiny infants through to children preparing for primary school. The Infant Crèche welcomes babies from 4 months old until they are walking, focusing on cognitive and social development within a warm, nurturing environment as children transition from home to a school setting. The Toddler programme is for children from walking age up to 24 months and is sensory-based, helping children turn ideas into words and words into phrases while balancing nurture, playtime and learning throughout the day. The Nursery stage, for two to three year olds, is a time of discovery, with self-directed play promoting skill development, confidence and self-esteem as children explore their environment and learn to communicate their thoughts. The Preschool (FS1) programme, for three to four year olds, lays the groundwork for a sound sense of belonging and personal achievement, preparing children for the more structured Kindergarten (FS2) stage for four to five year olds, which offers a skill-based programme covering reading, phonics and small and large group activities to prepare children for the first grade. Attendance patterns are flexible, with children able to join for two, three or five days a week, and nursery hours run from 7.30am to 6.00pm, Monday to Friday, allowing families to select a schedule that suits their needs.

Circle time follows, covering attendance, a topic of the day and nursery rhymes, before a snack break that includes hand-washing and dining etiquette practice. Mid-morning includes a teacher-focused activity covering fine motor skills, literacy, numeracy and arts and crafts, followed by an enrichment session such as cooking, Kinder Gym, French or Arabic, and story time to build language and imagination. Self-initiated and instructional play, along with indoor gross motor activities, lead into lunch and a closing circle time before the first pick-up or nap period. In the afternoon, children wake from nap, enjoy a fruit break with themed activities such as cool science or gardening, and have a further snack and free play session. The day continues with another enrichment activity, dinner, outdoor fresh-air time and a final story time and wind-down before home time, with nursery hours running from 7.30am/8am to 6.00pm.
