Curriculum & Approach
The nursery follows an internationally-recognised creative curriculum that has been carefully adapted to reflect Arabic language, values and identity. This play-based framework is designed to give children a modern, purposeful early-learning experience while keeping them rooted in their Arabic heritage through activities with clear cultural meaning. From the age of two, children also receive daily English lessons, tailored to their age group, to help build confidence in a second language ahead of starting school. Fridays are treated as a special day at Alif Ya, with children learning about the significance of the day, taking part in ablution (wudu) and joining a supervised group prayer in a calm, respectful atmosphere that nurtures a sense of belonging and reverence.

Age range: 45 days to 6 years
Children progress through six age-based groups at Alif Ya, starting with the Infants room for babies from 45 days to 11 months, followed by a Toddlers group for children aged one to two years. Older toddlers aged two to three years move into their own class, before children join the Pre-school group between three and four years. The final two years are structured as KG1, for children aged four to five, and KG2, for children aged five to six, preparing them for the move into primary school. Across all groups, the curriculum keeps Arabic language and identity central, while daily English sessions are introduced from age two onwards.
