المنهج والنهج التربوي

ORA's curriculum is built on its own Zayed Early-Learning Framework (ZELF), created to honour the UAE's founding father, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. The framework is organised around four pillars: Leadership Skills, Happiness & Positivity, Advanced Sciences, and Technology & Coding, intended to give children a broad foundation from their earliest years. Teaching is delivered through a design-thinking approach, encouraging children as young as three to break problems into manageable parts, experiment, and build empathy and teamwork through collaborative activities. Solution-focused, project-based learning is used to let children investigate real-world questions hands-on, while activities such as early 3D printing are used to build fine motor skills, spatial awareness and an early familiarity with technology and coding concepts. Alongside the core framework, children are introduced to STEAM projects, augmented reality and other digital tools, unplugged technology activities, and enrichment such as Arabic, French, karate, tennis, chess, mindfulness and financial literacy sessions. Children are also periodically exposed to the wider Area 71 innovation ecosystem through events and showcases, giving them a window onto robotics, sustainability and futuristic technology initiatives even though they do not attend Area 71 directly.

ORA organises its youngest cohort, Babies, for children aged three to twelve months, supported by a gradual orientation process designed to help each family's transition from home to nursery go smoothly. Toddlers, broadly covering children aged one to three years, follow flexible, child-initiated learning techniques in which educators and children learn together. FS-1, for children aged three to four years, draws on ideas from international early-childhood educators combined with ORA's own research into experiential teaching methods. FS-2, for four- to five-year-olds, balances fluid, curiosity-based learning with more structured, routine-based teaching time to help prepare children for the transition to school.
