Great Minds ECC follows the Montessori Approach, developed by Dr Maria Montessori, which is built on the belief that children learn naturally when given the right environment and stimuli. The nursery's classrooms are organised into distinct areas of learning, including Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Mathematics and Cultural studies, allowing children to progress from concrete to abstract understanding at their own pace. Personal, social and emotional development is nurtured through practical life skills, cultural activities and role modelling, while communication, language and literacy are built through storytelling and a language-rich environment. Problem-solving, reasoning and early numeracy are developed through sensorial and counting materials, and understanding of the world grows through cultural and environmental exploration. Physical development is supported through indoor and outdoor physical enrichment programmes, and creativity is encouraged through art, craft, music, movement, drama and spontaneous play. The curriculum is enriched further with cooking, sensorial, music, art and Arabic classes, giving children a broad and stimulating range of experiences beyond the core Montessori materials.
الفئة العمرية: 1 to 6 years old
Great Minds ECC organises children into four Montessori classes according to age. The Butterflies class is for children aged 1 to 2 years and focuses on physical, cognitive, language, social and practical life skills, with flexible nap and toilet routines tailored to each child's home schedule. The Beetles class, for children aged 2 to 3 years, introduces practical life, sensorial, language, maths and cultural studies alongside child-led exploration and adult-initiated group activities such as circle time and storytelling. The Bats class, also known as FS1 and FS2, caters for learners up to 5 years old and introduces cosmic education alongside practical life, sensorial, language, maths and cultural studies, with materials that make abstract concepts tangible. The Bees class is for children aged 4 to 6 years and builds on earlier Montessori levels, with children developing reading, writing and early arithmetic skills, learning about geography, history, zoology, botany and science, and practising daily living activities that promote coordination, focus and independence. All classes include integrated enrichment such as music, Arabic, cooking, sensory activities and art projects inspired by famous artists, plus physical education twice weekly. Older children have access to optional extracurricular activities including karate, football, dance and gymnastics. The nursery also runs an Individual Educational Programme (IEP) and inclusion support for students with determination, plus a free extended care programme running until 5pm.
Great Minds ECC's Al Wasl campus includes dedicated Montessori classrooms equipped with practical life, sensorial, language, mathematics and cultural cabinets, alongside a book corner, activity room, music room and communication room for language work. An indoor soft-surface play area with a ball pit and swing offers additional sensory and physical play space. The outdoor environment is designed as an extension of the classroom, giving children the chance to explore with all their senses. Children can develop balance and body awareness on a trampoline, balancing beams and wooden steps, build motor skills and coordination through cycling, and enjoy sensory play in a dedicated sand area, all within a securely enclosed playground. The setting supports the nursery's Montessori approach in both its indoor and outdoor spaces, giving children in this Al Wasl, Dubai nursery a calm, prepared environment for exploration, movement and hands-on learning throughout the day.

Great Minds ECC places strong emphasis on individual care, with flexible nap and toilet routines for younger children in the Butterflies class planned around each child's home schedule. Feeding and mealtimes are treated as both social experiences and opportunities to build new skills. The nursery has specialist staff, including teachers with Montessori training and backgrounds in speech and language therapy, who work with an Individual Educational Programme (IEP) approach to support children requiring extra assistance. Specialists train staff in multi-mode communication methods and work to ensure the classroom environment meets the needs of all students, including those of determination. The nursery also runs regular workshops for parents and caregivers, led by doctors, therapists, psychologists, nurses and educators, covering topics such as first aid, family safeguarding, managing tantrums, raising healthy children, bilingualism and developmental milestones, providing ongoing support to families alongside daily classroom care.
Great Minds ECC offers flexible attendance from 8:00am to 1:00pm, with an early drop-off option from 7:30am and an extended care afternoon programme running until 5:00pm, which follows Montessori principles through creative activities. Families can choose two, three, four or five days per week depending on their needs. Within the school day, children take part in a mix of child-led Montessori work time and adult-initiated activities such as circle time and storytelling, alongside enrichment sessions including music, Arabic, cooking and sensory classes, and physical education twice weekly. Daily and weekly reports keep parents updated on their child's activities and progress.
Admissions at Great Minds Early Childhood Center are open year-round, with children accepted from 1 year old and able to remain at the nursery until 6 years old, completing FS2 or KG1. Places are offered as long as the environment is suitable and can meet the individual child's needs. Attendance is flexible, ranging from 8:00am to 1:00pm, with early drop-off available from 7:30am and extended care until 5:00pm. Families can choose two, three, four or five days of attendance per week. Once admission forms and tuition payment are received, a child's place at the nursery can begin.
