Best Kidz Nursery

Best Kidz Nursery bases its educational approach on the ideology and principles of Finland's National Core Curriculum for Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) 2016, believed to be the first nursery of its kind in the UAE to adopt this model. The Finnish methodology is built around phenomenon-based learning, where children's understanding expands outward from observations of the world immediately around them, strengthening both cognitive skills and social participation. The curriculum is delivered through five core learning areas: a rich world of languages, exploring and interacting with the environment, diverse forms of expression, me and my community, and I grow, move and develop. These areas are woven into nine distinct learning zones within the classrooms, covering imaginative and creative play, language, mathematics, audio-visual activities, mindfulness, practical life skills, sensorial exploration, construction, physical development and social science. Play sits at the heart of the approach, recognised for its intrinsic value in a child's learning, development and wellbeing. Educators support both child-initiated play, where children lead the direction of activities and educators extend their thinking through questions and resources, and child-centred play, where educators introduce a phenomenon or theme for children to explore, question and expand upon individually or in groups. Arabic language, national identity and local culture are integrated throughout the curriculum, alongside regular field trips and walks around Gate Avenue and to local parks, giving children from infancy through preschool age opportunities to explore beyond the classroom.
