Indian  School  Ras  Al  Khaimah  founded  in  1979,  is  a  Modern  English  Medium  School.  It  is  managed  by  the  Indian  Association.  It  was  officially  inaugurated  on 5th November 1981 by  H. H. Sheikh  Saqr  Bin  Mohammed  Al  Qasimi,  Supreme  Council  Member  and  Ruler  of  Ras Al Khaimah.

The  School  is  recognized  by  the  Ministry  of  Education,  U.A.E.  and  is  affiliated  to  the  Central  Board  of  Secondary  Education,  New  Delhi.  It  prepares  students  for  the  C.B.S.E.  Examinations  conducted  for  Class  X  as  well  as  for  the  Senior  Secondary  Level  viz.  Class  XII.

The Indian School,  Ras Al Khaimah  echoes all  the  sentiments,  mission  and   vision  of  a  unique  educational  institution  right  from  the  Kindergarten.  If  it  is  desirable  that  children  be  kind,  appreciative,  receptive  and  pleasant,  then  those  qualities  to  be  taught  not  hoped  for,  that  is  what  K.G  section  of  Indian  School  aim  at.

Indian  school  was  established  in  1979  with  45  children  in  K.G.  section.  Now  it  has  stretched  out  to  six  divisions  each  in  lower  and  upper  K.G’s.  The  faculty  is  global  so  also  the  taught.  The  teachers  with  their  strong  commitment  foster  an  environment  to  keep  the  children  mentally  agile  and  open  to  welcome   learning.  The  well  equipped  play area  affords  students  an  opportunity  to  stay  physically  active  and  healthy.  The  academic  programme  is  well  designed  to  equip  the  tiny  tots  to  a  wider  exposure  by  the  way  of  frequent  Picnics,  Cartoon  viewing,  music  classes,  P.T.  display,  Sports  and  Games. 

The  fame  Indian  School  enjoys  today  is  the  result  of  the  conscientious  work  put  in  within  a  span  of  27  years.

Our  school  has  grown  in  strength  and  has  been  successfully  imparting  education  to  the  children  of  16  different  nationalities  for  more  than  2  decades.  At  present  we  have  nearly  2000  Students,  98  Teaching  Staff  and  26  Non-Teaching  Staff.

Our  excellent  track  record speaks volumes of the clarity  of our vision and the  purity  of  our  mission.  The  fusion  of  such  vision  and  mission  enables  us  to  impart  a  proper  education  to the children, nurturing a sense of dignity and self-respect  in  them. 

The motto of our school – ‘Life  is  my  examination,  Character  is  my  degree,  World  is  my  University,  Knowledge  is  my  power’  emphasizes  the  quality  of  education  which  empowers  the  individuals to work  for a  harmonious  and  glorious  society.  Proper  reasoning  and  comprehension  of  morals,  ethics  and  knowledge  in  their  true  sense  results  in  positive  changes  in  the  attitude  and  altitude  (growth towards success) of the youngsters.  We are aware of the need for  educational  reforms  in  the  wake  of  rapid  technological  development  and  globalization.
