Welcome to Stars British Nursery - Sharjah
At Little Stars British Nursery we have an open door policy and parents are viewed as partners in their child’s education. As partners they play an integral part of the learning community.
The Little Stars British Nursery programme is based on the following principles:
• Respect - for oneself, for each other and for one’s environment.
• Responsibility - for their own actions and responsibility for each other and the environment.
• Community - children, teachers, parents and community are interactive and work together.
Mission
• The early years of a child’s life are key to their development as individuals. Our aim is to encourage and help children learn respect, responsibility and community interaction.
• We will encourage exploration and discovery by providing the children with an environment rich in possibilities and provocations that invite the children to undertake extended exploration and problem solving, often in small groups, where cooperation and discussion are encouraged.
• Our aim is for children to learn through our innovative state of the art equipment with support and encouragement from our specialised team of practitioners.
• Having an emergent curriculum which we approach through play based activities. Teachers provide a stimulating environment and allow children to have control over the direction of their learning.
• Children are given the opportunity to learn through the experiences of touching, moving, listening, seeing and hearing.
• We allow children to build relationships with other children and recognise that they are social beings embedded within a family, community, and culture. We value the involvement of family and community members in the life of our school.
• We give children endless ways and opportunities to express themselves. Children are seen as learners within a community of learners.
